Easy Sausage Gravy and Biscuits recipe

For a filling, family-favorite breakfast, hot jumbo buttermilk biscuits and rich sausage gravy are ready in only 15 minutes.

Easy Sausage Gravy and Biscuits

Ingredients

  • Refrigerated 16-ounce can of large buttermilk biscuits
  • Jimmy Dean® Original Hearty Pork Sausage Crumbles, 1 (9.6 ounces) package
  • flour, 1/4 cup 
  • 2.5 glasses of milk
  • To taste, add salt and black pepper. 

Preparation Method

STEP 1
  • Bake biscuits as directed on the packet.
STEP 2
  • Sausage should be fried through in a big skillet for 5 to 6 minutes while constantly stirring. Add flour and mix. Add milk gradually and whisk continuously as you heat the mixture until it thickens and comes to a boil. Simmer for two minutes while stirring continuously at medium-low heat. Use salt and pepper to taste to season.
STEP 3
  • halve the biscuits. 8 plates should have 2 halves each. Add 1/3 cup of gravy on top.
