This Parmesan-style chicken bake is baked in a casserole dish rather than breaded or fried, but it still has that irresistible combination of tender chicken, crunchy-cheesy coating, and flavorful sauce.

Preparation | Directions to use
- Preheat the oven to 350° F. (175 degrees C).
- Spread olive oil on the bottom of a 9x13-inch casserole dish and sprinkle with garlic and red pepper flakes.
- Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the dish and cover with marinara sauce. Sprinkle basil over marinara sauce, then top with half of the mozzarella and half of the Parmesan cheese. Croutons are sprinkled on top, followed by the remaining mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 35 minutes to an hour, depending on the shape and thickness of your chicken breasts until the cheese and croutons are golden brown and the chicken is no longer pink inside. In the thickest part of a chicken breast, an instant-read thermometer should read at least 160 degrees F. (70 degrees C).
Notes: If desired, add more marinara sauce. And imitation Parmesan will not taste the same... Purchase some authentic Parmigiano-Reggiano!
